There are two visas for young people from certain countries to travel and work in Australia for 12 months - the Working Holiday visa (Subclass 417) and the Work and and Holiday visa (Subclass 462).
Both visas are issued under a cultural exchange program between Australia and participating overseas countries. Not all countries participate the the program.
If eligible, you can apply for a second and third working holiday visa to stay longer in Australia.
This visa lets people 18 to 30 have their first extended holiday in Australia and work here to help fund their trip.
do short-term work in Australia to help pay for your holiday;
study for up to 4 months;
travel to and from Australia as many times as you want;
do 3 months of specified work to become eligible for a second working holida visa.
This is a temporary visa. You must enter Australia within 12 months of the date of grant.
The visa's period of stay starts on the date you enter Australia. Once you have entered, you can:
stay in Australia for up to 12 months
leave and re-enter Australia as many times as you like in those 12 months
