Skilled Nominated Visa (Subclass 190) applicants must obtain a minimum of 65 points on a points assessment and must be nominated by a participating State or Territory government in Australia.
To apply for this visa, you must submit an expression of interest (EOI) and be invited by SkillSelect. If you receive an invitation, you will have 60 days to apply for the visa.
The Highly Specialised Work stream of this temporary visa lets you do short-term, highly specialised work in Australia. It is suitable if you have specialised skills, knowledge or experience not generally available in Australia.
With this visa you can
work in a highly specialised job;
the work or activity must be non-ongoing.
How long you can stay
This is a temporary visa. It lets you stay for a period of 3 months. Stays for a period longer than 3 months can be granted provided there is a strong business case for this length of stay.
