The Temporary Skill Shortage visa (TSS) Subclass 482 visa lets an employer sponsor a suitably skilled worker to fill a position they cannot find a suitably skilled Australian to fill. This visa was introduced on 19 March 2019. It replaced the Temporary Work (Skilled) visa (subclass 457).
The Subclass 482 Visa (TSS) has 3 different streams:
Short-Term Stream - up to two years
Medium-Term Stream - up to four years
Labour Agreement Stream
You must be nominated by a Standard Business Sponsor or a business that has applied for a Standard Business Sponsorship. Your employer must alos lodge a nomination application.
There is no age limit for the TSS (Subclass 482) visa.
This visa lets an employer sponsor a skilled worker to fill a position they cannot find a suitably skilled Australian to fil.
Work in Australia for up to 4 years;
Study in Australia
Travel to and from Australia as many times as you want
If eligible apply for permanent residence.
This is a temporary visa. You can stay in Australia for the period of time your employer nominates you for up to a maximum period of 4 year.
