Global Talent Visa (Subclass 858)

This is a permanent visa for people who have an internationally recognised record of exceptional and outstanding achievement in an eligible field.

With this visa you can

stay in Australia permanently;
work and study in Australia;
enrol in Medicare;
sponsor your relatives to come to Australial
travel to and from Australia for 5 years;
if eligible, apply for Australian citizenship.

How long you can stay

This is a permanent visa. It lets you stay in Australia permanently.

Eligibility

To apply for a Global Talent visa, you must:

be nominated on a From 1000 at time of application
have an internationally recognised record of exceptional and outstanding achievement;
be still prominent;
be an asset to the Australian community;
have the ability to establish yourself in Australia;
be of exceptional benefit if under 18 or over 55 years old;
have functional English;
meet health and character requirements.
